Journal of Learning Technology and Innovation (JOLTI) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Lia Center of Research and Education (Lia Core). JOLTI is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This ethics statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors (Chief Editor and Editorial Board), peer reviewers, and the publisher.
This policy is guided by the core principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and is designed to support transparency, accountability, and integrity in scholarly publishing, particularly in the field of learning technology and educational innovation.
The integrity of academic publishing is fundamental to the advancement of knowledge in learning technology and educational innovation. The publication of articles in Journal of Learning Technology and Innovation (JOLTI) plays a vital role in building a credible and respected body of scientific knowledge, reflecting the quality of the authors’ research and the institutions that support them.
All manuscripts submitted to JOLTI must be based on rigorous scientific methods, ethical research practices, and honest reporting of results.
As the publisher, Lia Center of Research and Education (Lia Core) is fully committed to maintaining ethical standards at every stage of the publication process. Editorial decisions are made independently and are never influenced by commercial interests, including advertising, sponsorship, or reprint sales.
In addition to international publication ethics standards, JOLTI acknowledges and incorporates ethical considerations relevant to the Indonesian context:
All published articles must respect Indonesia’s cultural, social, religious, and legal values. Content that undermines social harmony, cultural integrity, or community values is not acceptable.
Research involving Indonesian participants must comply with applicable national research ethics regulations, including obtaining approval from relevant ethics committees where required.
Studies involving indigenous knowledge, local practices, or community-based innovations in education technology must ensure proper acknowledgment, informed consent, and protection of community rights, including fair benefit-sharing where applicable.
The Chief Editor of Journal of Learning Technology and Innovation (JOLTI) is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts are accepted for publication. Decisions are based on the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope. Editors adhere to legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism, and may consult with editorial board members or reviewers as needed.
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on intellectual content, without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views.
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.
Peer reviewers assist editors in making informed editorial decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts through constructive and objective feedback.
Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or cannot complete the review within the agreed timeframe must notify the editor promptly and withdraw from the review process.
Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should clearly express their evaluations and support their comments with scholarly arguments.
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors. Any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and other published works must be reported to the editor.
Authors must present accurate, original, and objective accounts of their research. Data and findings must be reported honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation.
Authors may be requested to provide raw data for editorial review and should be prepared to make such data publicly accessible where feasible and appropriate.
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Proper citation or quotation is required when using the work or ideas of others. All forms of plagiarism are strictly prohibited.
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish substantially similar research in multiple outlets.
Proper acknowledgment of all sources that have influenced the research is mandatory.
If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate fully in correcting or retracting the article.

Journal of Learning Technology and Innovation published by Lia Center of Research and Education has gone through a peer review process before publication.
