Plagiarism Policy
ABHIMA: Abdi Ilmiah untuk Masyarakat, published by Lia Center of Research and Education (Lia Core), maintains a strict policy against plagiarism. Any form of plagiarism is considered a serious breach of academic ethics. This policy outlines definitions, screening procedures, and actions taken when plagiarism is identified in submitted manuscripts.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as the act—whether intentional or unintentional—of presenting another person's work, ideas, data, or expressions (in part or in whole) as one's own without proper acknowledgment of the original source. This includes direct copying, close paraphrasing, or inappropriate citation practices.
Editorial Principles
- All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- All borrowed material must be clearly identified and properly cited.
- All authors share responsibility for the integrity of the submitted manuscript. If plagiarism is found, all authors will be held accountable.
Plagiarism Screening
As of February 2024, submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or similar plagiarism detection software prior to peer review.
Levels of Plagiarism and Actions

| Major Plagiarism | Significant copying of content from other sources without acknowledgment. | Immediate rejection and possible publication ban from the journal. |
| Simultaneous Submission | Submitting the same manuscript to ABHIMA and another journal at the same time. | Rejection and possible sanctions as per major plagiarism. |
Editorial Discretion
In cases outside the scenarios described above, the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board reserve the right to impose appropriate sanctions based on the severity and context of the misconduct.
