About the Journal

Journal of Vocational Education and Technical Engineering (JOVETE)

Journal of Vocational Education and Technical Engineering (JOVETE) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Lia Center of Research and Education (Lia CORE). It serves as a platform for academics, researchers, vocational educators, and industry practitioners to disseminate scientific works related to vocational and technical education as well as applied computer and digital technology fields.

JOVETE publishes research articles, conceptual studies, and innovative developments aimed at enhancing the quality of practical learning, strengthening graduate competencies, and developing applicable digital and information technology solutions. The journal encourages publications that address industry and workforce needs, technological advancements, and vocational education policies at both national and international levels.

The journal covers two main areas. The first is Vocational and Technical Education, including vocational curriculum development and evaluation; innovative models and strategies in practical and skills-based learning; competency-based assessment; industry-based education (link and match); teaching factory, project-based learning, and work-based learning; professional development of vocational teachers, lecturers, and instructors; vocational education management and policy; digital technology-based vocational education; and the development of teaching materials, modules, and learning media.

The second area is Applied Computer, Digital, and Information Technology, covering applied computer technology for vocational education and industry; applied informatics; information systems and digital application development; software engineering; computer networks and cybersecurity; database systems and information management; data analytics and artificial intelligence applications; Internet of Things (IoT); and digital technology innovations supporting vocational learning, training, and workforce readiness.

Before Make a Submission


Manuscripts submitted to Journal of Vocational Education and Technical Engineering (JOVETE) must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must prepare manuscripts using the JOVETE Template and ensure that the manuscript has passed a similarity check (e.g., Turnitin).

References must be managed using citation tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, RefWorks, BibTeX, or similar software. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and administrative requirements will be rejected. Only manuscripts that meet JOVETE standards will proceed to the review process.
