Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Early Childhood Education Perspectives (JECEP) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All manuscripts submitted to JECEP must be original works and must not contain any form of plagiarism.

JECEP strictly follows internationally accepted publication ethics and applies plagiarism screening as an integral part of the editorial process.

Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as the use of ideas, words, data, or other intellectual material from another source without proper acknowledgment. This includes direct copying, inadequate paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, redundant publication, and duplicate submission.

Originality Requirement
By submitting a manuscript to JECEP, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.

Plagiarism Screening Procedure
All manuscripts submitted to JECEP are screened for similarity using Turnitin prior to the peer-review process.

Similarity Threshold
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%. Reference lists are excluded from similarity calculation, and a minimum readable similarity of ≥ 1% is required.

Similarity percentages are used as an initial screening indicator only and are not the sole basis for editorial decisions.

Editorial Assessment
The editorial team evaluates the nature, location, and context of any overlapping text. Manuscripts may be returned for revision, rejected, or allowed to proceed to peer review depending on the findings.

Author Responsibility
All authors listed in a manuscript are collectively responsible for the content of the submission.

Editorial Authority
The final decision regarding plagiarism-related matters rests with the Editor-in-Chief. JECEP reserves the right to reject or retract articles if ethical misconduct is identified at any stage of the publication process.
