About the Journal

Alterium: Journal of Language, Literature, and Culture is a reputable, peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Lia Center of Research and Education, focusing on interdisciplinary studies in the fields of language, literature, and culture. Serving as an academic space to explore alterity, plurality, and the dynamics of meaning production and negotiation in texts and cultural practices, the journal is grounded in the understanding that language, literature, and culture are not static entities but rather domains of human life where identities, representations, and power relations are formed, reinforced, and negotiated. Therefore, Alterium prioritizes critical and interpretive approaches that address the complexity of linguistic, literary, and cultural phenomena in local, national, and global contexts. The journal accepts original research articles, theoretical reviews, and critical commentaries including, but not limited to, topics such as language and discourse diversity, ideology and representation, literary theory and criticism, cultural and identity studies, postcolonial studies, globalization and the local, media and popular culture, as well as community-based cultural traditions and expressions.
